Amed Dive Center was opened in July 2002 and is jointly operated by two Balinese and one German.We, Wayan, Nyoman, and Hartmuth decided to create an innovative diving and water sports service facility that shall: offer relaxed and enjoyable water sport activities for our guests, guarantee an optimum of safety, respect the environment and focus on sustainable development, provide special diving courses and trips focusing on environmental issues, train our staff in safety, health- and environmental matters.

Amed Dive Center wants to guarantee an optimum of safety for our guests and our staff. We use a Bauer Mariner Compressor to fill your and our dive tanks. Our compressor is maintained and checked on a regular basis. Filters are cleaned and exchanged with original parts. All fillings and maintenance activities are recorded – feel free to ask for our records! We use the early morning or late afternoon hours for filling to ensure clean and comfortable breathing air for all dives.

All tanks are identified and controlled; records are existing and well maintained. We fulfill Indonesian regulations on safety for dive tanks. Amed Dive Center provides AQUA LUNG dive equipment for its customers and maintains its equipment properly.

Unsuitable equipment is replaced. A wide variety of wetsuits and fins in all sizes ranging from XXS to XXL is available for your comfort and pleasure while diving or snorkeling. Masks, snorkels, weight belts, lamps and compasses are in excellent condition for your safety and fun.

Our dive instructor is a certified Emergency Response teacher. All our staff has been trained in Emergency Response.

Our Batticaloa Dive Centre is located within 0.5 hectares of land has a parkland setting with a rich biodiversity of flowering plants & local vegetation. The lagoon and adjoining sea gives direct access to perfect boat dives. The lagoon is navigable almost up to 45 – 50 km inland and it is dotted with many islets, many of which serve as verdant bird sanctuaries. The famous beaches of Kalkudah & Passekudah are only a short distance away.

We are not only offering an extensive range of land and boat diving tours (all difficulty grades) that are supervised by our experienced team of international PADI Instructors but also highly attractive dive packages with quality accommodation directly at the hotel where our dive centre is located.

The East Coast of Sri Lanka is rated as one of Asia's top dive sites and offers outstanding experiences for all skill levels. As the island essentially sits atop a huge sandbank that drops 3000m into deep ocean you'll usually find shallow sand or rock bottoms, but you can also dive on walls and drop-offs. Because you're seldom far from deep water, opportunities for encounters with pelagics, sharks and other inhabitants of the open ocean abound.

Big Bubble was established in 2001 and quickly gained the reputation of one of Indonesia’s leading dive resorts. Located at Turtle Beach in Gili Trawangan, Big Bubble is nestled among some of Trawangan’s finest restaurants and bars. Nothing in Trawangan is too far away, so walking, cidomo, or bicycle are the only means of transport! We are a stones throw away from the surf break or the beautiful sandy beaches. Big Bubble Dive is very proud of the fact that we have received an award from PADI for ten years of “outstanding” services as a  scuba diving shop. We have also been upgraded to a PADI 5 star dive centre.

As we are island based, all our dive sites are close by so no long boat trips. It also means all our reefs start shallow and then drop off deeper making it the perfect place for both beginners and also for those wishing to advance to the next level of diving.  We always check the current before diving, ensuring that as much as possible we dive with the current and never against it which is nice for all level of divers as means you can relax and therefore use your air less quickly.


There is also a “ONE TIME ONLY” reef tax of 50,000 Rupiah  payable by all divers and students. It is this reef tax that funds the work of the G.E.T.

Welcome to Chaloklum Diving, Koh Phangan, Thailand. We offer personal PADI dive courses, luxury SCUBA diving and snorkelling trips, with 18 years reputation for quality and high standards. We work only with small groups of divers and take enough time to enjoy long, relaxed fun dives or to complete your dive training properly.

We opened Chaloklum Diving School on Koh Phangan way back in 1995, a year or so after falling under the spell of the island and the clear, warm waters in the Gulf of Thailand. We started off as a two man dive shop doing it all ourselves; scuba diving and snorkelling from the beach or by local longtail boat, and teaching our PADI diving courses without modern conveniences such as DVD’s or aircon. Needless to say the diving school (and Koh Phangan) has become a lot more civilised since then, but our high standards remain the same! We have both been PADI diving instructors in Thailand for 20 years now, and our unchanging motivation today is still a passion for scuba diving and teaching about it to others. The select Chaloklum Diving team is made up of truly enthusiastic PADI professionals, mainly trained in our own dive school, and we all share a belief in providing enjoyable, high quality diving trips and dive courses.

Although we do have an exemplary safety record, it is good to know that we are a fully insured and licensed TAT (Tourist Authority of Thailand) dive centre. We are sponsors of the SSS Re-compression Network (with excellent hyperbaric facilities for Scuba divers on nearby Koh Samui), our diving school team are all first aid/O2 trained, and we are supporters of DAN (Divers Alert Network) Asia Pacific.

Small diver groups (max 4), genuine personal care, long scuba dives (1 hr+, diving tables and air supply permitting) and consistent safety standards means that our divers leave us happy and send their friends. We believe that although diving in large groups and making short dive trips may mean more profits for a dive centre (in the short term), it’s no fun for our divers, snorkellers or for students making diving courses.

Diving trips are made with our very own big, comfortable, spacious diving and snorkelling boat, and we visit all the top dive sites in the Koh Phangan/Koh Tao area. The boat has headroom downstairs for tall foreigners (!) and is set up for 30+ divers (though there’s a lot more space) with large toilet, dedicated dive equipment setting up area and an open front deck for sunbathing and socialising. Upstairs there’s the captain’s cabin (with ship’s radio, mobile ‘phones, GPS, full 1st aid kit and oxygen supply), more sunbathing space and a large, cool, covered eating/social area with buffet (plus a great view).

The Diving School in the middle of Chaloklum Village is our headquarters and a full facility PADI Dive Centre. We are an affiliate Scubapro and Suunto Dealer, offering retail sales of many major brands of dive equipment and snorkelling gear. We have our own well equipped diving workshop where we care personally for all our SCUBA gear and provide a selective service facility, we maintain a Bauer Compressor tank filling station, and have aircon teaching facilities for chilled PADI courses. There are 2 more of our dive shops on Koh Phangan; at Wang Sai Resort, Mae Haad beach and at Long Bay Resort on Haad Yao beach, both on the West coast. It’s great to do your Padi Open Water Diver course or go reef diving straight from your resort.

Getting here is simple, as travelling in Thailand is made easy for you. From Bangkok you can take a plane, a train or a coach to Suratthani town on the mainland, or to Koh Samui which is next door to us. From there you can choose from a variety of ferry services across to Koh Phangan. If you have booked accommodation here already, your resort will usually meet you from the ferry. If not, just ask for a taxi to wherever you want to go. If you want to come straight to us, tell the driver “Chaloklum Village”, specifying our dive school (ie. Chaloklum Diving) as there are other dive shops in the village! If you are having any problems on arrival here, phone us on 077 374025 and we can usually help.

Coral Diving Centre is located at only 10 Minutes from the Airport, in the South East of Mauritius, which is perceived as the Wild Coast or the Costa Brava of Mauritius. Unawatuna Diving Centre, PADI Resort S-36133, offers the perfect holiday under and above the water. Our Dive Centre is located about 4 km south of Galle City. The 2 km long bay of Unawatuna is lined with palm trees and known to be one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka. Here, directly off the ater you'll find our Dive Centre. Apart from occasional weather restrictions you can dive here perfectly between October till the end of April. Underwater vision depends on high and low tide, usually between 5 - 25 meters.

The Diving Centre was re-opened in 1999 and since then managed by a international team of competent PADI-Instructors. First class compressors (made by Bauer) speedily fill the 10 and 12 l diving bottles. 30 complete Scubapro diving gears can be rented. Each jacket has its own security buoy. The spacious Diving Centre has a large locker room and a well sized training-room. We have a large cleaning basin for your equipment, and afterwards your suit can dry perfectly in the shade. Again you see that all is taken care of.

At the diving base you have the possibility to practice land and boat diving tours (all grades of difficulty). There are four diving boats available, which can bring you to the desired diving locations. Every boat contains a maximum of 8 divers.
